Brewers need one more win to get their first ring

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 10-1 in Game 3 of the World Series on Monday night. The victory gives Milwaukee a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. The Brewers can win their first World Series championship in franchise history as early as Tuesday night.

Robert Gasser pitched a dominant game to start the offense for Milwaukee. The team scored ten runs while holding Tampa Bay to just one. The Rays have lost all three games played so far in the series. They face the threat of being swept in the World Series for the first time since 2020.

The Brewers are entering their first World Series since 1982. They earned the spot by sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. Milwaukee won that series four games to none. The Dodgers were eliminated after a 6-4 loss in Game 4 on Wednesday.

The Rays are in their third World Series appearance in franchise history. They secured the American League pennant by beating the Cleveland Guardians in Game 6 of the ALCS. Junior Caminero hit a massive home run in that game to help secure the win. Tampa Bay had previously lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2008 World Series.

Neither the Brewers nor the Rays have ever won a World Series title. A new champion will be crowned regardless of which team wins the remaining games. The series is currently tied in total runs scored, but Milwaukee has won three straight. The Rays have managed only six runs in the first three games combined.

Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The game will be played at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay. It will air on Fox, Fox Deportes, and fubo. If the Brewers win, they will clinch the championship. If the Rays win, they will force a Game 5 on Wednesday.

The remaining schedule includes potential Games 5, 6, and 7. Game 5 is set for Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time at Tropicana Field. Game 6 would take place on Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time at American Family Field in Milwaukee. Game 7 is scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time in Milwaukee.

The Brewers won the first two games of the series by narrow margins. They defeated the Rays 3-2 in Game 1 on Friday. They won Game 2 on Saturday with a score of 5-4. The 10-1 rout in Game 3 marks the largest margin of victory in the series so far. The Rays have now lost by a combined margin of 23 runs in three games.

The playoff bracket shows the Brewers swept their Division Series opponent, the San Diego Padres. The Padres lost the series 2-1 in a three-game sweep, though the source data lists the final score as Milwaukee winning 3-1 in the series context, specifically noting a 3-1 win in Game 4. The Rays swept the New York Yankees in the Division Series, winning 3-0. Cleveland lost the ALCS 4-2 to Tampa Bay after a 7-3 loss in Game 6.
