Penn-Trafford faces Latrobe on Friday for a decisive Big East Conference matchup, seeking to secure sole possession of the title after sharing the lead earlier this month. The Warriors hold a 9-0 record overall and a 5-0 conference mark, while the Latrobe team stands at 4-1 overall and 6-3 in league play.

Coach John Ruane emphasized that the team remains focused on executing against a competitive opponent. He noted that the squad has work to do because Latrobe also seeks a share of the conference championship. The Warriors recently defeated Woodland Hills, where the rushing attack generated 307 yards. Ben Grabowski contributed 149 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Cody Yacamelli added 144 yards and three scores.

The offensive line consists of senior left tackle Aiden Corbett, senior left guard Travis Moorhead, senior center Aiden McCaw, senior right guard Dylan Ridley, and junior right tackle Russell Oslosky. Moorhead and Corbett returned as first-team all-conference selections. The group also includes senior tight end Nathan Kravetz, sophomore Triston Tommasino, junior H-back Orlando DeOrio, and senior Landyn Stikkel.

Ruane described the unit as a group of athletes with strong technique and footwork rather than large physical frames. The line averages 5 feet 11 inches and 246 pounds. They utilize zone schemes that involve counters, pulls, and traps. Ruane praised their ability to reach the second level and disrupt linebackers. He also highlighted their pass protection skills and their capacity to make in-game adjustments against unexpected defensive fronts.

Senior defensive linemen Marlo Robinson and Grant Burk provide depth by playing on both units. Ruane stated that having them on defense allows the team to platoon and keep players fresh. The Warriors currently average 46 points per game and 229.2 rushing yards per game.
