Twelve South Adds a Pairing Guide Screen to New Airfly View Dongle
Twelve South has launched the Airfly View, a $79.99 wireless headphone dongle with a built-in display that walks users through Bluetooth pairing.

Twelve South has introduced a new version of its Airfly dongle that aims to take the guesswork out of connecting wireless headphones to devices without built-in Bluetooth. The Airfly View replaces the usual system of flashing or color-changing LED lights with a small built-in screen.
That screen shows instructions for each stage of the pairing process. The text can be displayed in any of 24 languages, including Japanese, Arabic, Portuguese and Polish, so travelers do not need to rely on a printed manual to get connected.
The Airfly View went on sale on 2026-10-27 at a price of $79.99. The package includes a carrying case, along with an adapter that lets the dongle's short 3.5mm headphone cable plug into an airplane's split headphone jack. That price makes it one of the most expensive Airfly models Twelve South has offered.
The display does more than replace the instruction booklet. It includes a battery indicator, which lets users estimate how much of the dongle's rated 16 hours of battery life is left. It also shows the name of the connected headphones or earbuds, based on the name each device reports over Bluetooth.
That feature could prove handy for families or groups flying together, where several people may be carrying their own headphones and need to tell which devices are linked to which dongle.
A single Airfly View can stream audio to two pairs of wireless headphones at once. Twelve South also says the device "supports Auracast broadcast audio, so it is ready for the next generation of Bluetooth headphones."
Auracast could widen the number of devices able to receive audio from one dongle. However, that depends on headphones fully supporting the feature, and relatively few models currently do.
