Oren Alexander, Tal Alexander and Alon Alexander were each sentenced to 30 years in prison by a federal judge on Tuesday, after a jury found them guilty of conspiring to traffic women and girls for sex. Oren and Tal are real estate brokers, and Alon is a security executive.

Judge Valerie E. Caproni announced the sentences in a packed courtroom. The brothers, who have denied wrongdoing, had asked for 15 years each. Prosecutors had pushed for life terms, but Caproni described that punishment as "draconian."

None of the three men testified at their federal trial. A Manhattan jury returned guilty verdicts on all counts against all three brothers, with the verdict read on March 9. Eleven women gave testimony during the proceedings.

The convictions varied by defendant. Alon and Tal were also found guilty of sex trafficking of a minor. Alon and Oren were convicted of aggravated sexual abuse by force or intoxicant, as well as sexual abuse of a physically incapacitated person.

Prosecutors showed jurors a video during the trial that depicted Oren Alexander raping an incapacitated 17-year-old girl in 2009.

At the sentencing hearing, 11 victims spoke to the court for close to 90 minutes. A twelfth victim had been expected to address the court but instead asked the government to read her statement for her.

In the indictment and at trial, prosecutors alleged that the brothers used their money and influence to draw in women and, in some cases, to drug, sexually assault and rape them.

The brothers also face roughly two dozen civil lawsuits. One of them was filed by Tracy Tutor, who appears on Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles."
